Providence +4.5 (+124) vs. Connecticut: 1/1.24 (Matchbook)
Had this matched overnight, which i'm a little upset about, but I'm glad I have a great juice at over one possession. Basically, this game is a big rivalry that most people don't know about, and Providence has been awful going into this game. They got killed by Marquette, a great 3-point shooting team, and lost in OT last time out to USF mainly because Dominique Jones almost hit 50 points. UConn is NOT a 3pt shooting team, and they do not have a dynamic scorer like Jones to give PC all those problems. I am concerned with Kemba Walker doing whatever he wants against little Sharaud Curry, but UConn is going to be in a MAJOR let-down spot after beating the #1 team in the land. I think some shady calls got UConn that big run that put them ahead to stay early in the 2H, but I'm not upset about it because I think it gives plenty of value on the Friars today.
Tennessee -6.5 (+103) vs. Vanderbilt: 1/1.03 (Matchbook)
The Vols truly didn't look that bad against Georgia, but they were completely outplayed by a very athletic UGA team that matches up very well with them. This Vandy team has one advantage, A.J. Ogilvy on the interior, but the 'Dores seem to have some very bad games on the road. I'm sure Bruce Pearl has been telling his team they're not as good as their ranking indicated, and that last loss may have helped drive home that point. I think we'll see a big effort from the Vols at home tonight, and Rocky Top will be played throughout. I like Bobby Maze at the line in key situations if I'm looking for a "foul-shooting" cover.
good luck
